Taste of India – Contest Mania 2025 Guidelines

Contest Date – Saturday, March 29th 2025

Venue: Hindu Temple Of Hampton Roads

• Mandatory $5 registration fee per contestant.

• Walkins NOT allowed on the day of contest.

• Participants should be 18 yrs and above.

• Board for presentation will be provided. Contestants bring in their own tools like knives if needed.
• Contestants can make their Charcuterie Board Spicy, Salty or Sweet on the provided board.
• The contestants will bring one homemade item made by themselves which will serve as the main item on the charcuterie board.
• The contestants can bring one item besides the homemade edible item for decoration purposes.
• Surprise ingredients and containers to collect the ingredients will be provided.
• Contestants will be given 5 minutes to select the ingredients and 20 minutes to arrange everything on the given board. In between, they can go back to the ingredient table to gather more stuff.
• Contestants have to come up with a Creative Name for their board.
• Dish will be judged by independent judges.
• Judging will be based on the taste of home made item, display & pairing of other ingredients with the main item, unique name and display & presentation.
• The judge’s will announce the winners and decision is final.
• Committee and Judges reserve the right to cancel the contest or to present no awards or to reduce the number of awards if an insufficient number of deserving entries are received.
• Taste of India & Contest Mania reserves the right to utilize and publicize the contestant names, competition entries, photos and videos without any restriction – including website, Souvenir and media releases.
